CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation portal delayed: What students need to know

Students seeking post-result verification and re-evaluation for CBSE Class 12 exams faced a delayed portal launch on June 1, 2026. Despite prior announcements and assurances of system upgrades for transparency and smoother access, the link remaine...

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was scheduled to open the Class 12 post-result verification and re-evaluation portal on June 1, 2026. However, students trying to access the facility on Monday were left confused as the link remained inactive, despite the board’s prior announcement.

Students Face Uncertainty Amid Delay

The continued delay has increased anxiety among students and parents. This comes especially after technical glitches were reported earlier during the answer-sheet access process. Thousands are now waiting for the verification, photocopy, and re-evaluation window to begin so they can review their results and apply for corrections if needed.

Earlier, CBSE had already pushed the start of post-result processes from May 29 to June 1, explaining that more time was required to improve website infrastructure and ensure a smoother application experience.

CBSE’s Assurance on Transparency and System Upgrade

In a post on X, the board had said the revised schedule was intended to maintain transparency and uphold evaluation protocols. Officials also mentioned that upgrades were being made to the website to handle heavy traffic and avoid disruptions when a large number of students log in simultaneously.

Portal Still Inactive Despite Revised Date

Despite the updated timeline, students reported that the re-evaluation link was still not available even after June 1. This delay comes in the backdrop of multiple complaints during the answer-sheet access phase, including issues in downloading scanned copies, payment gateway failures, and discrepancies in fee displays.

OSM System Under Scrutiny

The situation has also drawn attention to CBSE’s newly introduced On Screen Marking (OSM) system for Class 12 evaluations.

Helpline Support for Students

Despite these steps and assurances about system readiness, the re-evaluation portal had not gone live by June 1. Students seeking help have been advised to contact the CBSE Tele-Counselling Helpline at 1800 11 8004 or write to resultcbse2026@cbseshiksha.in while waiting for further updates from the board regarding the portal activation.
