CBSE stated that while its evaluation process includes multiple levels of checking, students who are not satisfied with their scores have the option to formally challenge their results by following the prescribed steps.
Step 1: Apply for Answer Sheet Photocopy (First Stage of Review)
The first step in the revaluation process is to obtain a scanned copy of the evaluated answer sheet. This helps students understand how marks were awarded.To apply, candidates need to:
- Log in using their school credentials or CBSE student login
- Select the subject(s) for which they want the answer sheet
- Pay the required fee per subject online
- Download the scanned copy once it is made available
Step 2: Verification of Marks (Checking for Errors)
After reviewing the answer sheet, students can move to the verification stage if they notice any discrepancies.This stage allows students to request:
- Rechecking of total marks
- Verification of any unmarked answers
- Confirmation of correct mark entry
Step 3: Re-evaluation of Answers
If students are still not satisfied after verification, they can apply for re-evaluation of specific answers. This is the final stage of review under CBSE guidelines.Key points include:
- Applications are allowed for specific questions only
- Submissions must follow the prescribed online format

- The marks awarded after re-evaluation will be final and binding
