While the board has not officially announced the result date, previous years indicate a consistent timeline. In 2025 and 2024, results were declared on May 13, while in 2023 they were released on May 12. This pattern suggests that the 2026 results may also be announced around the same period, although formal confirmation is awaited.
CBSE Class 10 and 12 pass percentage
CBSE data from recent years shows a relatively stable pass percentage in both Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. The Class 10 pass rate stood at 93.60 per cent in 2024 and 93.12 per cent in 2023, while it was higher during pandemic-affected years such as 2021 when it reached 99.04 per cent.Multiple platforms available to check results
Once declared, students will be able to access their results on official portals including cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in and umang.gov.in by entering details such as roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth and security pin.Results will also be accessible through mobile applications such as the DigiLocker and UMANG apps, allowing students to download digital academic documents.
Digital certificates to be issued via ‘Parinam Manjusha’
CBSE will provide digital mark sheets, migration certificates and skill certificates through its digital repository “Parinam Manjusha”, integrated with DigiLocker. These documents will be made available shortly after the declaration of results.Alternative access through SMS and helpline services
Students will also be able to check their results through SMS and IVRS services. Alongside the results, CBSE is expected to release a comprehensive press note outlining key examination statistics, including overall and region-wise pass percentages, gender-wise performance, number of students scoring above 90 per cent and 95 per cent, and data on candidates placed in compartment categories.Compartment exam schedule to follow result declaration
Students failing in one or two subjects will be eligible to appear for compartment examinations, the schedule for which will be announced after results are declared.Board clarifies new Class 10 exam structure from 2026
The board has also outlined changes to the Class 10 examination structure beginning this year. All students must appear in the first board exam, while those who pass can improve scores in up to three subjects. Students missing three or more subjects will be placed in the “Essential Repeat” category and can appear only in the next year’s main examination. Those receiving a compartment result will be allowed to take the second exam under the compartment category.
