CBSE Board Exams 2023: News on Practical Exams for Class 10 and 12 students

Class 10 and 12 practical exams for 2022-2023 will happen from November 15 to December 14, 2022. CBSE has released guidelines for conducting internal assessments/project assessments/practical exams.

According to the CBSE Scheme of Studies/Exam Bye-Laws, the internal assessments/project assessments/practical exams for 2022-2023 will be conducted from January 1, 2023.

However, schools in areas that are prone to heavy winter season will remain closed during January.


The internal assessments/project assessments/practical exams will happen for schools in winter-bound areas from November 15 to December 14. The internal assessments/project assessments/practical exams will happen strictly according to the guidelines and details given on the CBSE website.

Schools are instructed to familiarise themselves with the Curriculum Document and maximum marks for subjects.

All the internal assessments/project assessments/practical exams marks should be simultaneously uploaded with the practical exams. The Board will not consider any extensions regarding dates.

Uploading of marks shall be done by the respective class's last date. The internal assessments/project assessments/practical exams shall be undertaken in two-three sessions in a day if the students are over 20.
