CBSE has assured that results for both Class 10 and Class 12 will be declared on time. According to Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj, the Class 12 assessment plan is still under review due to its complexity, as it involves multiple subjects and varying student circumstances across affected regions, reports TOI.

How CBSE will evaluate class 10 students
For Class 10, CBSE has issued a clear assessment scheme based on the number of exams a student was able to appear for:• Students who appeared in all exams will be evaluated based on their actual performance
• Students who appeared in four exams will have their remaining subjects assessed using the average of their best three performing subjects
• Students who appeared in two exams will have results calculated based on the average marks of those two subjects for remaining papers

Exams cancelled at West Asia centres
The board cancelled examinations at select centres in Doha, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE due to prevailing conditions. However, exams conducted between February 17 and February 28, 2026, were completed successfully, covering major subjects, language papers and skill-based courses.Class 12 assessment under review
CBSE officials said the Class 12 evaluation framework requires deeper analysis, including the number of affected students, subjects involved and the extent of exams completed. A final decision will be announced once this review is completed.What students should expect
CBSE has emphasised that the evaluation approach is designed to ensure fairness while accounting for disruptions caused by the conflict.
