CBSE announces important date for 2023 class 10 & 12 board exam. Here are all the details

Returning to its original formula of a single board exam at the end of the academic year, CBSE has announced that the class 10th and 12th Examinations will start on February 15, 2023. However, the complete subject-wise date sheet of the CBSE 10th and 12th Exams 2023 is expected to be released on the CBSE's official website -- cbse.gov.in-- in November or December.

As the Covid situation improves across the country, the board has decided to go back to the conventional practice of holding board exams once a year. For the 2021-22 academic year, the CBSE had introduced a bifurcated format with two terms: the Term-I board exams were held in November-December in 2021, while the Term-II exams were held in April-May in 2022. This was done as a stop-gap arrangement to avoid a repeat of 2021 when both Class 10 and Class 12 Board exams had to be cancelled due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The board has also announced the starting date along with announcement of Class 10 and 12 result. According to the official statement “In the Light of lessening of the impact of COVID Pandemic across the globe, the board has decided to conduct 2023 exams from February 15, 2023”. The results for the CBSE 2022 examination for Class 10 and 12 were announced in July. Nearly 93 per cent students cleared the Class 12 exam, while 94.4 per cent student passed the Class 10 exam.

Students must note that the syllabus has been set for the 2023 examinations based on the yearly exam pattern. Students are advised to download the sample papers from the website and start practicing for the final exams.
