Kerala is lately seeing an increase in dog attacks.

Earlier today, a video surfaced showing a seven-year-old being viciously attacked by a stray dog in Kozhikode.

In the video, the stray dog can be seen leaping onto the victim, as he cycles in a narrow street. The dog then proceeds to pounce on the boy, latching onto his leg and attacking him repeatedly. The same canine reportedly attacked a 40-year-old earlier.

These stray dog incidents came amid reports of pet dog attacks in Mumbai and Delhi NCR. In one incident, a kid was attacked inside a life while the owner looked on. In another incident, a pitbull mauled a teenager who needed 150 stitches later. A Zomato delivery boy's private parts were bitten by a German Shepherd in another incident when he was leaving the lift.

Reportedly, many housing societies in Noida have come out with guidelines for pet owners in view of the rising attacks.
