Carl Pei plans launch of Nothing Phone (3) and a landmark smartphone in 2025

As per a leaked email from Nothing CEO Carl Pei, the company’s 2025 plans include launching the Nothing Phone (3), a flagship smartphone. The email also mentions a “landmark” device expected in the first quarter of the year, which Pei described as a product that "the world will be very excited to see." The email, titled "2025: Nothing’s Year of Innovation," was shared online by tipster Evan Blass. Pei stated the Phone (3) will be a flagship device.

The details of this landmark device remain undisclosed. This marks a significant year for Nothing, which has not released a flagship device since the Phone (2). Recent launches have included CMF devices and a budget-friendly Phone 2(a), but fans have been awaiting a premium offering.

Pei also confirmed that Nothing will expand its camera hardware and software development teams by 50%, which means the company will double down on its software and camera optimizations for current and future smartphones. Nothing is rumored to launch three smartphones in 2025, with the Phone (3) joined by the more affordable Phone (3a) powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and Phone (3a) Plus.

India launch on the horizon

Separately, a new Nothing phone might soon debut in India. A device with the model number NT04 recently appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website, indicating an imminent launch. While Nothing has not officially confirmed the details, industry experts speculate this could be the Nothing Phone (3).
