According to an official statement, Netflix has purchased the post-theatrical streaming rights to Butta Bomma. According to reports, Netflix purchased the rights for a high price. The streaming behemoth has currently announced via its Twitter account that the film will be available digitally on streaming services on March 4, 2023.


‘Butta Bomma’ will be released on the platform in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. It is well known that ‘Butta Bomma’ is a remake of the Malayalam film ‘Kappela’. With this film, Anikha Surendran, a young actress, makes her Tollywood debut.

The film is purchased and announced by Netflix as part of their Sankranthi announcements. As a result, ‘Butta Bomma’ will only be available on Netflix and no other streaming service; therefore, tune in to Netflix on March 4, 2023.


The film begins in a small community near the Aakaru Valley. Satya, played by Anikha Surendran, the senior daughter of a middle-class family, leads a restricted existence. In an unexpected turn of events, Satya dials the wrong number, and Murali, the autorickshaw driver, answers Surya. After falling in love with Murali, Satya decides to meet him in Vizag. At this point, RK, played by Arjun Das, a jobless man, arrives on the scene. Which factor connects RK and Murali? Will RK sabotage Murali and Satya's romance? The important factor is how the events unfold, which forms the plot of the film.


Anikha Surendran, Arjun Das, and Surya Vasishta play pivotal roles in the film. Butta Bomma was co-produced and co-financed by Trivikram's Fortune Four Cinemas and Nag Vamsi's Sithara Entertainments. Shourie Chandrasekhar T Ramesh directs the film. Ganesh Kumar Ravuri wrote the film's dialogue, and Gopi Sundar composed the music.
