Dubai's iconic skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa, illuminated the night sky with the vibrant hues of India's Tricolour, celebrating the nation's 77th Independence Day. The official Instagram account of Burj Khalifa shared a captivating video showcasing the towering edifice adorned in the saffron, white, and green colors of India's flag.

The remarkable display also included heartfelt messages such as "Happy 77th Independence Day To Mother India" and "Long Live India and UAE Friendship," accompanied by a striking portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.

The accompanying caption of the video conveyed, "Tonight, #BurjKhalifa commemorates the Republic of India on their Independence Day. Wishing the people of India a day filled with celebration and pride as you celebrate the rich history and diverse culture of your nation. Renowned for its tradition of honoring significant dates of countries globally, the Burj Khalifa had previously illuminated with South Korea's flag on August 15 in honor of the nation's Liberation Day.

Clarifying the circulating rumors, it's important to note that the claim of the Burj Khalifa neglecting to display Pakistan's flag on August 14, Pakistan's Independence Day, is inaccurate. An official video posted on the Burj Khalifa's Instagram account verified that the Pakistani flag was indeed exhibited on the towering structure.

Earlier, a misleading video had spread across social media, depicting Pakistani individuals gathered near the iconic skyscraper late at night, anticipating the unfurling of their flag. However, these hopes were ultimately unfulfilled.


In the video, a woman's voice lamented, "The time is 12:01 am now and Dubai officials informed that Pakistan's national flag won't be displayed on Burj Khalifa. This has become our status now. Pakistanis are raising slogans here but Pakistan's flag won't be displayed on Burj Khalifa. So sad, a prank has been played on Pakistanis."
