BTS sings theme song for SBS animated movie ‘Bastions’ with all members of K-pop group; First teaser out

The theme song for the upcoming Korean animation film "Bastions" has been sung by the South Korean boy band, BTS. All seven members of the group contributed their vocals to the track as it was recorded before member Jin's enlistment in the military in December of last year. It will be the boy band's first music release in eleven months. Their last release was the anthology album "Proof," which was released in June.



"Nable Communications" and award-winning animation director Jo Buem-jin, known for his 2006 work "Aachi & Ssipak," an X-rated black-comedy animation for adults, produced "Bastions," a 3D action-hero animation. The story centres on rookie heroes named Bastions who embark on a mission to identify and confront the villains responsible for causing environmental pollution. Bastion will premiere on SBS on May 14 at 7:30 am KST.


On April 7, it was announced that Le Sserafim, former members of Brave Girls, along with Heize, AleXa, Seo J, Kang Min-seo, and rapper P. Cassady, will also be featured on the soundtrack. Thymos Media is an entertainment corporation specializing in the production and distribution of animations.

Due to Jin's enlistment in late 2022 and J-Hope's upcoming mandatory military service, BTS is currently on hiatus, and individual members have been focusing on personal projects. RM, J-Hope, Suga, and Jimin all released solo albums in 2022 and 2023.
