BTS’ Jungkook deletes his Instagram account, here’s why

BTS' Jungkook, the group’s youngest member, deleted his Instagram account. He announced his decision in a series of posts on the fan community forum Weverse on Tuesday. He also explained why he deleted his Instagram account.

Jungkook wrote on Weverse, as translated by Twitter user @BTStranslation_, “I'm no longer on Instagram. It has not been hacked Because I didn't use it, I simply deleted it... do not worry!”

The Stay Alive and Run BTS hitmaker revealed that he was no longer using the app and dropped the bombshell that he might not use it again. Jungkook commented and stated that he would rather live on Weverse.


A fan took to Twitter and wrote, “JK (Jungkook) has a valid point because he isn't using it. I enjoy his Weverse LIVE and feel more connected to him as a result. Today, he told us how he feels and what happened to Bam, which is wonderful”.

BTS members made their Instagram debut in December 2021. Jungkook held a brief live session on Weverse following the deletion of his Instagram account. He stated that he was bored at home and turned on the live video for a few minutes. “Oh, J- Hope has arrived. What! Is Jimin Hyung also present? It's great to see you, our members”. Jungkook stated about singer Jang Beom June, “Jang Beom June's songs appeal to me. They are still appealing to me”.

RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are among the members of the group. South Korea's BTS is one of the world's most celebrated and successful boy bands. The singers announced in 2022 that they will begin focusing on solo projects in addition to their group endeavours.
