The conversation comes as BTS continues its ARIRANG World Tour, which began in April 2026 and is scheduled to run through March 2027.
India is not among the confirmed destinations on the tour's current schedule. However, the latest conversation has renewed speculation among fans that the country could eventually be added to the itinerary.
The moment that particularly caught Indian fans' attention was a warm message from the group. Jin can be heard saying, “Namaste India! Kaise hain aap sab? Humne aapko miss kiya!”, which translates to, “Namaste India! How are you all? We missed you!”
The Hindi greeting quickly became one of the most talked-about parts of the video, with Indian fans flooding social media with reactions.
Mumbai comes up as a possible destination
The Google India video also touched upon the possibility of BTS coming to India.Suga expressed his desire to meet Indian ARMYs, while J-Hope asked where BTS should go if the group were to tour India. Mumbai was specifically highlighted during the discussion.
That has naturally led to speculation about a possible Mumbai concert, although BTS has not officially announced a Mumbai or India date.
For now, the discussion remains just that, a conversation rather than a tour announcement. But for Indian fans who have waited years to see the group perform live, even a mention of Mumbai has generated considerable excitement.
BTS had planned Mumbai before
The possibility of BTS performing in Mumbai has an important history. The group was scheduled to bring its Map of the Soul Tour to India in 2020, with Mumbai among the planned destinations. The tour, however, was cancelled as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted international concerts and travel.
The cancellation meant Indian ARMYs never got the opportunity to see BTS perform live in the country.
Since then, members have acknowledged their Indian fanbase and the group's unfinished plan to perform for them.
That history makes the latest Mumbai reference particularly significant for fans. A new India date would not simply be another stop on a global tour. It would also revive a concert plan that was abandoned years ago.
What is the BTS Arirang tour?
BTS' ARIRANG World Tour began on April 9, 2026, in Goyang, South Korea. The tour is scheduled to continue until March 2027 and includes 79 shows across 34 cities.India was not included in the initial list of confirmed destinations.
However, additional dates and regions have been teased, leaving open the possibility that more locations could be announced later.
The latest Google India campaign does not confirm that Mumbai will be added to the tour. Still, the fact that the members themselves discussed India and Mumbai has given fans something new to watch for.
Indian ARMYs react to BTS' Hindi message
The group's Hindi greeting also triggered plenty of playful reactions online.Fans were particularly impressed by Jin's Hindi, with some joking that he deserved Indian identification documents after hearing him speak the language.
The interaction also shows how BTS continues to engage with its large Indian fanbase despite not currently having a confirmed India concert date.
For now, there is no official announcement of a Mumbai show. But with BTS talking about meeting Indian fans, Mumbai being mentioned as a possible destination and Jin telling ARMYs, “We missed you,” hopes of finally seeing the group perform in India are once again gaining momentum.
