The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared the Class 10 result 2026 on March 29 at 1:15 pm, recording an overall pass percentage of 81.79%. Over 12.35 lakh students cleared the examination out of more than 15.10 lakh candidates who appeared. Students can check and download their results from the official website matricbiharboard.com.

Pushpanjali Kumari and Sabreen Praween secured the top rank with 492 marks (98.4%). The merit list features 139 students due to tied scores across ranks. The board conducted verification and interviews before finalising the toppers list to ensure transparency.

Girls continued their strong performance, with 6,34,353 qualifying the exam compared to 6,01,390 boys. Their consistent showing across categories reflects an ongoing trend of improved academic outcomes among female students in the state.

Division-wise performance of students

In the first division, 4,43,723 students secured top grades, including 2,34,501 boys and 2,09,222 girls.
A total of 4,75,511 students passed in second division, with girls (2,50,500) outnumbering boys (2,25,011).
In the third division, 3,03,103 students qualified, where girls again recorded higher participation than boys.

Evaluation completed in record time

The board completed the evaluation process in just 28 days, continuing its trend of early result declarations. The timely release has helped BSEB maintain its record of announcing both Class 10 and Class 12 results within March.

Exams held across 1,699 centres in Bihar

The Bihar Board conducted the Class 10 examinations from February 17 to February 25 at 1,699 centres across the state. The process was carried out smoothly, ensuring disciplined conduct for over 15 lakh candidates.
