Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Telangana's ruling party, pasted a controversial poster in Hyderabad to 'welcome' Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The Home Minister was on a visit to the city for the 54th CISF Raising Day parade.
The poster featured the iconic "Nirma girl", with the faces of BJP leaders Himanta Biswa Sarma, Narayan Rane, Suvendu Adhikari, Sujana Chowdhary, Eshwarappa, and others who joined the party from other parties.
The move by the BRS comes at a time when their MLC and state Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's daughter K Kavitha is being questioned in the Delhi liquor case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
A BRS party member tweeted, "Washing Powder Nirma! This is called Karma @AmitShah ji. Welcome To Hyderabad".
It was the first time the CISF held its annual Raising Day celebrations outside of Delhi's national capital region (NCR) at the CISF National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) in Hyderabad's Hakimpet.

The BRS's move to install the poster attacking BJP leaders has received criticism from various quarters, with many calling it a low blow and inappropriate. The opposition parties have accused the BRS of trying to distract the public from the ongoing investigation into Kavitha's involvement in the Delhi liquor case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned BRS leader K Kavitha for many hours on Saturday for recording her testimony in connection with the money laundering case relating to suspected anomalies in the Delhi excise policy.
She is summoned once again on March 16 by the ED.
