Brendon McCullum indicates Jos Buttler's comeback to the England Test side

Brendon McCullum, England's new Test head coach, has signaled a potential return of wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler to the English Test side. While being among the top white-ball run-makers in the game, Buttler was left out after England's humiliating 4-0 Ashes series failure in Australia.

Buttler's great IPL 2022 run was closely monitored by McCullum, who feels the youngster can also enhance his batting in red-ball cricket. He considers that those who have excelled in T20 cricket may apply their skills to the red-ball game.

According to McCullum, with the exception of a few short performances, Jos is among those people you glance at and wonder how he could be so dominant in one version of the game but still not make it to Test cricket.

He also expressed that there are certain athletes you can look at among many players and say that they have considerable potential to contribute to the team if given the chance. He stated that if you're successful at T20, there's no excuse why you can't apply those abilities to Test cricket. He referred to the players who have performed amazingly in the last two months.

McCullun on reviving the cricket careers of retired players
Despite the fact that Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid are both officially retired from Test cricket, McCullum expressed interest in restoring their Test careers.
