Jennifer Pamplona, a Brazilian influencer who has spent over $1 million on cosmetic procedures to look like Kim Kardashian, is now sounding the alarm on the dangers of butt fillers. Known for her extensive surgery history, Pamplona has recently shared a stark warning about the risks associated with butt lift fillers, particularly those containing polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA).

Pamplona, a self-proclaimed “surgery addict,” revealed that her use of PMMA, a material commonly used in butt lift fillers, has severely impacted her health. Although her infertility cannot be directly linked to PMMA, complications from the filler are believed to be associated with either improper application or an adverse reaction. According to the New York Post, PMMA can migrate from the injection site to other areas, including the pelvic region, potentially affecting reproductive organ function.

Pamplona recounted a troubling experience a decade ago when PMMA spread from her buttocks to her reproductive organs during a bioplasty procedure. This migration has contributed to her current fertility issues. “I always dreamed of being a mother. Unfortunately, I now find myself unable to fulfil this dream due to the complications caused by PMMA,” she told Need To Know.

Dr. Carlos Rios, Pamplona’s surgeon, described the medical mishap as a “matter of life or death.” He noted that the symptoms she experienced were a direct result of the procedure. “She was hanging by a thread. The suffering is immense, and the pain of not being able to create life is something I never imagined facing,” Dr. Rios said.

Despite the setbacks, Pamplona’s health has been improving thanks to a holistic approach that includes meditation, a balanced diet, targeted supplementation, and medication.

Pamplona, who has 1 million Instagram followers, began her journey with plastic surgery at just 17 years old. Over the years, she has undergone more than 30 procedures on her body and face. However, after being diagnosed with body dysmorphia in 2022, she decided to halt her surgeries. While she’s considering one final reconstructive surgery to address lingering issues, Pamplona is currently managing the adverse effects of her past procedures.

Reflecting on her experiences, Pamplona emphasised the importance of emotional health. “I like to say that if everyone paid attention to their emotional health, procedures would be less frequent,” she remarked.
