Brahmastra trilogy update! Ayan Mukerji confirms Part 2 and Part 3 will be made together; Details here

On his social media platform, Ayan Mukerji disclosed an official update regarding Brahamstra 2 and 3, hinting at their respective release dates.

Rejoicing Brahmastra fans across the globe, director Ayan Mukerji took to social media on Tuesday, April 4 sharing first big update regarding Part 2 and Part 3 of the trilogy. Keeping in mind the success of first part of Brahmastra, Mukerji confirmed that teh next two installments will made simultaneously. The director has expressed that this movie franchise presents an exciting and challenging opportunity for him.

In September 2022, the first part of Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was released in theaters. Ayan has now disclosed that Part 2 and Part 3 of the franchise will have a relatively closer theatrical release.

Penning a lengthy note on Instagram, Ayan Mekerji shared the official update, starting off by saying, “Hi…The Time has come - for some updates on the Brahmastra Trilogy, the Astraverse, and my Life! After absorbing all the love and the feedback on Part One... I have been focused on creating the Vision for Part Two and Part Three -which I now know will be bigger and more ambitious than Part One! I have learnt that we need a little more time to perfect the script of Brahmastra Two and Three.”


Mukerji further said, “And...I have decided that we are going to make the two films... Together! Allowing them to also release closer together! I have a timeline in place to achieve this, which I am sharing with you all today! ik I also have another piece of news to share... The Universe has presented me with a very special opportunity recently - a very special movie - to step into and direct! What the movie is... More on that when the time is right”.



Amitabh Bachchan and Dimple Kapadia were among the cast members in Ayan Mukerji's film, Brahmastra, which had a cameo appearance by Shah Rukh Khan and Mouni Roy playing the antagonist. 'Brahmastra', starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, concluded its theatrical run on a high note, achieving an impressive total of a little over Rs 230 crore nett in the Hindi version and an additional Rs 23.75 crore from the dubbed versions.
