The spokesperson for well-known Carnatic musician Bombay Jayashri Ramnath stated on Monday that she is progressing positively towards recovery. The musician, who is in her fifties, suffered a health setback during her tour in the United Kingdom last week. The popular musician underwent a surgical procedure to treat an aneurysm that she developed while on tour in the United Kingdom. Aneurysms can occur in various parts of the body, such as the brain, spleen, aorta, back of the knee, or intestine, when the arterial wall weakens and swells up. In some cases, a ruptured aneurysm can lead to internal bleeding and stroke, which can potentially be fatal.

As per a statement shared officially on the singer's Twitter page, the medical treatments that she has undergone have shown to be successful. The spokesperson expressed gratitude to the UK's state-funded National Health Service (NHS) for their support during this time.

The statement further conveyed appreciation for the Indian government's constant support and everyone who has shown love, support, and prayers towards Jayashri Ramnath's recovery.
