Blue Tick subscriptions: Jesus Christ, Satan now verified on Twitter
Jesus said they had been trying to get the irreverent account verified for a while but couldn’t until the existing policy changed. “I've applied for verification before and been rejected, but when Elon Musk changed the verification rules and you c...

Ever since Elon Musk announced a fee of USD 8 for a verified account, anticipations started looming large on how the company is going to go about it. The biggest worry that most people expressed was how easy it would be to impersonate someone on the micro-blogging site. And that's exactly what happened in this case.
With more chaos ensuing for Twitter users and those who work at Twitter, a number of parody accounts, that impersonate real people and others have been verified and all hell has broken loose.
Quite literally!
Two of these parody accounts include an account that goes by the name Jesus and another one under the name of Satan.
This is not to be confused with the more popular account of “God” which has 6 million followers but isn’t particularly thrilled about paying $8.
The anonymous user, who is neither religious nor named Jesus in real life, said in a news report that they started the account back in 2006 to make humorous posts.
“I just thought it would be funny to post tweets around the holidays like Christmas and Easter,” Jesus said.
“It's satirical. I post things like "Don't call it a comeback" right after Easter to joke about Jesus rising again,” they explained.
Jesus said they had been trying to get the irreverent account verified for a while but couldn’t until the existing policy changed.
Who has two thumbs and verified?
— Jesus Christ (@jesus) 1668017310000But as they figure out how to answer people’s prayers online, another abomination that appears to have taken Twitter by storm is Satan.
At last, I am verified.
— Satan (@s8nstan) 1668047745000“Not evil, just misunderstood,” reads their bio.
Both the accounts have gaggle of haters with the Jesus account, with the mildly-offensive tweets are singlehandedly upsetting most followers of Christianity, the account of Satan has been relentlessly posting profanities.
If God loves you so much why did he give you social anxiety?
