Black Mirror is making a comeback with its sixth season on Netflix in June 2023, marking a four-year hiatus since the last season. The revival comes after prolonged negotiations between Netflix and the show's owner.

Initially launched on Channel 4 in the UK, the anthology series aired two seasons before Netflix took over and produced three more seasons and an interactive special. The show is spearheaded by Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones, who work exclusively with Netflix under their Brokes & Bones banner. Apart from Black Mirror, the duo has also produced Attack of the Hollywood Cliches!, Cat Burglar, and Death to 202X.

Due to the anthology format of the show, tracking production for Black Mirror has been challenging, and it's generally a notoriously difficult production to monitor. The entire sixth season of the series was filmed using the working title Red Book. However, local reporting has provided some insights into the production process for specific episodes within the season.

According to The Olive Press in June 2022, one of the episodes was shot in Costa Del Sol, with filming taking place in various locations, including San Pedro, Marbella, Estepona, and Loasur Studios in Coin. This report was corroborated by Sur In English, which stated that "the platform [Netflix] has been filming a series on the Costa del Sol."

In the same month, there were rumors of a film crew spotted in Harrow, potentially connected to the Red Book project. Zazie Beetz confirmed to Deadline in August 2022 that she had finished filming her scenes in June 2022.
