Netflix has announced the star cast for the upcoming season of the widely acclaimed series 'Black Mirror', which will be set in a dystopian world like its previous installments. The new season, titled 'Black Mirror Season 6', will comprise five episodes, and the streaming giant has already shared the episode titles along with a sneak peek into what to expect as the release date draws near.

The sixth installment to the popular series - Black Mirror - is slated to release in June 2023. Here are the titles along with what to expect:

Episode 1: 'Joan Is Awful'



Annie Murphy, Salma Hayek Pinault, Michael Cera, Himesh Patel, Rob Delaney, and Ben Barnes will be seen in this episode, helmed by director Ally Pankiw and written by Charlie Brooker. The plot centers on a regular woman who discovers that a global streaming platform is creating a high-end television series based on her life.

Episode 2: 'Loch Henry'


This episode, written by Charlie Brooker and directed by Sam Miller, features a cast comprising Myha'la Herrold, Daniel Portman, John Hannah, and Monica Dolan. The story follows a young couple who travel to a peaceful Scottish village to start filming a serene nature documentary. However, they soon become embroiled in a fascinating local saga that involves dark historical incidents.

Episode 3: 'Beyond the Sea'

Written by Charlie Brooker Aaron and directed by John Crowley, is a tale set in an alternate 1969. It follows two men who embark on a hazardous mission involving advanced technology and struggle to cope with the consequences of a horrific disaster. The cast includes Josh Hartnett, Rory Culkin, Kate Mara, Auden Thornton, and Paul.

Episode 4: 'Mazey Day'


In this episode directed by Uta Briesewitz and written by Charlie Brooker, the focus is on a distressed actress who finds herself relentlessly chased by annoying paparazzi while also dealing with the aftermath of a hit-and-run incident. The cast features Danny Ramirez, Zazie Beetz, and Clara Rugaard in prominent roles.

Episode 5: 'Demon 79'


Set in 1979 in Northern England, this episode is centered around a lowly sales assistant who is given the ultimatum to commit horrendous acts to avert a disaster. Further, it is written by Charlie Brooker and Bisha K Ali, and directed by Toby Haynes. The cast features Anjana Vasan, Paapa Essiedu, David Shields, and Katherine Rose Morley in pivotal roles.
