Bihar: Viral video shows students doing menial jobs; disciplinary action ordered

A shocking video showing students of a government school performing menial jobs has gone viral on social media.

In the video, children donning school uniforms can be seen chopping woods, cutting stones.

As per news reports, Richie Pandey, District Magistrate of Jehanabad, has ordered a disciplinary action against the school's administration.


"We took note of the video and on Friday visited the school, situated in Islampur panchayat under Kako block of the district. The state of affairs left much to be desired," Jehanabad DM was quoted as saying by PTI.

The DM also claimed that school was in shambles.

"The blackboards were shattered. The midday lunches that were provided were also terrible," Pandey said.

Technology specialists have been called to analyse the video for further action, he informed.
