The PARAKH report, titled 'Establishing Equivalence across Education Boards,' suggests an aggregate performance metric from Class 9 to Class 11 for Class 12 evaluation. The marking scheme distributes weightage differently across the classes: Class 9 will have 70 percent based on formative assessments and 30 percent on summative assessments. Class 10 will equally split the weightage with 50 percent each for formative and summative assessments. In Class 11, 40 percent will come from formative assessments, and 60 percent from summative assessments. For Class 12, the evaluation will be based on 30 percent formative and 70 percent summative assessments.

PARAKH, a regulatory body established by NCERT for the Ministry of Education, has previously advocated for a standardized assessment approach across all educational boards in India. It recommends including vocational and skill-based subjects such as Data Management, Coding, Application Development, Artificial Intelligence, Music, Arts, and Crafts in the curriculum.
The report emphasizes the importance of evaluating teachers' performance and enhancing school infrastructure. This includes ensuring the availability of water, well-resourced libraries, and adequate sports facilities to create a conducive learning environment.
