Big Boss 16: Why Manya Singh receives backlash on social media

In the sets of Big Boss 16, Manya Singh indulged in an ugly fight with co-contestant Priyanka Choudhary. It all started with a prank at midnight when Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia tried to crack a joke on Priyanka and Archana Gautam.

While Priyanka and Archana were questioning Nimrit, Manya joined them and stated, "Tumhare baap ka nahi hain yeh." Many social media users were outraged by Manya's choice of words. Manya reportedly requested Abdu Rozik to throw shoes at Priyanka in another instance, but he declined.

Manya Singh, a Bigg Boss 16 competitor, has once again captured the attention of the internet, but this time for the wrong reasons. In a recent episode, she got into a dispute with roommate Priyanka Choudhary, following which the former beauty queen encouraged Abdu Rozik, to throw shoes at the TV actress. Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia tried to prank Priyanka and Archana around midnight, which did not go well with the two.


Nimrat was seen pranking roommates by pretending to be a ghost with her hair, concealing her face. Shiv Thakre, the captain of the house, also laughed with them. This trick, however, irritates Priyanka and Archana Gautam, who strike out at their housemates. Archana banged the dish with a spoon to rouse everyone up after Priyanka accused Shiv of being part of the disturbance.

This is not the first time Manya has been chastised on social media. Salman Khan previously questioned her in an earlier episode on why she questioned the professions of others. It all started with Manya praising herself while dismissing Sreejita's efforts. During a disagreement with Sreejita, Manya claimed to be country's ambassador and questioned Sreejitha's profession.

Social media users have expressed disappointment with Manya’s choice of words and have called it ‘disgusting’. “#ManyaSingh went on #PriyankaChaharChoudhary’s parents. Manya is disgusting & disappointed and that evil laugh by #ShivThakare," one of the tweets read.
