"Bhoot pishach.." Hanuman Chalisa recited inside UK Parliament during Bageshwar Dham Baba’s visit, watch video

In a landmark moment, the Hanuman Chalisa was recited for the first time inside the United Kingdom’s Parliament during a visit by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, widely known as Bageshwar Dham Baba. A video posted by the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Bageshwar Dham captured officials, lawmakers, and other attendees chanting the devotional verses in unison, led by the spiritual leader himself.

“For the first time in London Parliament’s history... Shri Hanuman Chalisa recited by respected government members... All present in the Parliament joined in devotion,” read the post by Bageshwar Dham.



This event marks a historic instance of a Hindu scripture being recited within the British Parliament. Earlier this year in April, members of the Indian community in London gathered outside the Pakistan High Commission to chant the Hanuman Chalisa after tensions arose between Indian and Pakistani groups following the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.

Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has often made headlines during his international visits. During a recent trip to Australia, he faced social media backlash after being seen sporting fashionable sunglasses, a luxury jacket during a flight, and relaxing on a cruise—images that stirred conversations online.
