Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 announces its arrival in the Rs 100 crore club

Among other things, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a film that will be remembered for bringing an end to the dry run that Hindi films were having at the box-office for a while. The film, which opened to great numbers, earned Rs. 11.35 crore at the domestic box-office on Saturday and registered a total earnings of Rs. 109.92 crore.

The film released on 20 May 2022 and collected Rs. 14.11 crore on its opening day. This was an impressive figure by all means one keenly looked forward to see its performance at the box-office during the weekend. The next day, the collections of the film witnessed a good jump and the film ended up collecting Rs. 18.34 crore on Day 2. Though the reviews of the film have been mixed, the audience seems to have taken to it in a big way. Those who have seen the film are calling it a balanced mix of horror and comedy. The chartbusting score by Pritam is one of those factors that seemed to have worked for the film.

By the end of its second weekend, the film collected close to Rs. 30 crore and the cumulative collections of the film now stand at almost Rs. 120 crore. As per trade experts, the film is sure to hit the 150-crore mark in the next couple of days. The film is all set to be lead actor Kartik Aaryan’s biggest box-office beating the likes of his earlier released films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Pati Patni Aur Woh.


Though the storyline of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is not related to the Akshay Kumar starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the film has been promoted as a ‘spiritual sequel’ to the latter. While Priyadarshan was roped in to direct the 2007 film, Anees Bazmee has helmed the Kartik Aaryan – Kiara Advani starrer.
