Bholaa: OTT streaming rights of Ajay Devgn's movie sold to Amazon Prime video for staggering amount, claim reports

Bholaa, the eagerly awaited thriller movie starring Ajay Devgn, has reportedly sold its streaming rights to Amazon Prime Video for a sum of Rs 30–40 crore, according to reports. The announcement follows the movie's triumphant theatrical debut on March 30, 2023, during which it earned Rs. 11.20 crore at the Indian box office. However, the film faced tough competition from the South superstar Nani's Dasara, which collected over Rs 15 crores on its opening day in India, as per reports.

Bholaa, which is directed and produced by Ajay Devgn himself, also features Tabu, Gajraj Rao, Deepak Dobriyal, and Sanjay Mishra in important roles. The film revolves around Ajay Devgn's character, who tries to escape death at every corner after being released from prison and on his way to meet his daughter.

The movie is a remake of the Tamil movie Kaithi, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starred Karthi, Narain, Arjun Das, and Dheena. The tale of the critically acclaimed movie Kaithi is continued in Kamal Hassan's most recent film, Vikram, and there are rumors that a sequel, Kaithi 2, is in the works.


The movie, which is made on a whopping budget of over Rs 100 crore, is Ajay Devgn and Tabu's ninth collaboration. The duo will soon be seen together in their tenth collaboration, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. According to reports, the duo will start shooting the second schedule of the movie in April.

Apart from 'Bholaa' and "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha", Ajay Devgn is also currently working on "Singham Again". On the other hand, Tabu will soon feature in her upcoming movie Khufiya and has also bagged a role in The Crew, a film that features popular actresses Kareena Kapoor and Kriti Sanon alongside her.
