BGMI Lite Krafton: Battlegrounds Mobile India Lite (BGMI Lite) is officially coming soon to India, with Krafton India confirming the launch of the lighter version of its popular battle royale game.

PUBG Mobile Lite was built for phones with less RAM

At launch, PUBG Mobile Lite was around 400MB in size and was designed to work on smartphones with less than 2GB of RAM.

The lighter game achieved this by reducing some aspects of the standard PUBG Mobile experience while retaining the core battle royale format.

It featured a smaller map and supported 60 players, compared with 100 players in the standard version. Matches were also shorter, generally lasting around 10 minutes, compared with roughly 25 minutes in the full game.

PUBG Mobile Lite used Unreal Engine 4

Despite being a scaled-down version, PUBG Mobile Lite was built using Unreal Engine 4, the same game engine used by PUBG Mobile.

The lighter version also proved popular among Indian players and went on to become the top free game on Google Play in India.

However, Krafton has not confirmed whether BGMI Lite will adopt the same technical approach, player count, map size or match duration.

BGMI Lite expected system requirements
