Bengaluru Weather Update: City records 35.6°C today; rising heat across Karnataka; check forecast for upcoming days

Residents of Bengaluru woke up to clear and sunny weather on Monday morning as summer conditions gradually intensified across Karnataka. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), dry weather is expected to persist across the state, with maximum temperatures likely to touch 40°C in the coming days.

Bengaluru Records Warm Daytime Temperatures

Weather data released by the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre shows that Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6°C and a minimum of 20.5°C today. The data highlights the steady rise in daytime temperatures as summer strengthens across the region.

Northern Karnataka Sees Higher Temperatures

The Karnataka weather forecast by the IMD indicates a sharp rise in daytime temperatures across several districts. Northern regions of the state have already begun experiencing intense heat.


Kalaburagi recorded one of the highest temperatures at 39.5°C, followed by Raichur and Yadgir, which reported temperatures around 38.7°C. Meanwhile, Ballari and Bagalkote registered temperatures close to 38.2°C.

IMD Warns of Possible Heatwave Conditions

The India Meteorological Department has cautioned that Karnataka could experience four to six days of heatwave conditions during the summer season. The forecast suggests that the north interior Karnataka districts and coastal regions are likely to face the most intense heat.

Deccan Plateau Cities Remain Relatively Cooler

Northern districts such as Kalaburagi and Belagavi are already witnessing stronger heat conditions. However, cities situated on the Deccan plateau, including Bengaluru and Chitradurga, continue to experience comparatively cooler mornings.

Bengaluru Weather Likely to Stay Similar Tomorrow

According to the IMD, Bengaluru weather conditions are expected to remain largely unchanged tomorrow, with sunny skies and dry weather likely to continue across the city.
