Bengaluru techie gets bored of office routine, drives to Chikkamagaluru to work remotely
A Bengaluru-based tech professional has attracted attention on social media after documenting his decision to work remotely from Chikkamagaluru instead of spending another week in the office.

In an Instagram video, Ankit shared his journey from Bengaluru to the coffee-growing region of Karnataka, describing it as a way to break away from the monotony of a regular office routine.

Early start to avoid Bengaluru traffic

According to Ankit, he and a friend, whom he referred to as Sachiv ji, planned the trip on a Friday despite having a standup meeting scheduled for noon.

To avoid traffic congestion and save travel time, the duo began their journey at 4.30 am.

During the drive, they travelled via NH 44 and NH 75. Ankit said leaving early in the morning helped them bypass city traffic and make better progress on the route.

Breakfast stop and scenic drive

The travellers reached their breakfast destination, Dhruvathare, at around 7.30 am before continuing towards Chikkamagaluru.

Ankit described the Bengaluru-Hassan highway as being in good condition, noting that although there were a few diversions, most of the journey was smooth.

After crossing Belur, they left the national highway and entered a state highway stretch, which Ankit described as one of the most scenic roads near Bengaluru.

Laptop opened soon after arrival

The duo reached their accommodation in Chikkamagaluru at 11 am, shortly before the start of the workday.
