Bengaluru saree sale turns ugly: Women brawl, pull hair over Mysore silk saree

A brawl erupted between two women during the annual saree sale at a store in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. The altercation started over a Mysore silk saree, and the women resorted to physical violence, pulling each other's hair and landing blows, as others intervened to separate them. Despite the chaos, several women continued with their shopping, oblivious to the commotion happening right behind them. A bystander captured the incident on video.


The video quickly went viral on Twitter, garnering hundreds of thousands of views. Many Twitter users suggested that the video could be used as an advertisement for the store due to the high demand for their sarees.


"Sarees are not just cloth, they are emotions woven with tradition and culture," remarked some netizens after witnessing the fiery exchange of blows over a prized piece of saree.

Another Twitter user observed and appreciated the shoppers who continued their shopping without getting distracted by the commotion, stating "I like the ones who are shopping without even turning their heads to see what's happening ..... oblivious of the ruckus."
