According to initial details, the situation began when a professor, identified as Mohammed, addressed students during class and made a surprising claim. In a viral clip, he tells the class that a student had proposed to him and adds that he was also in love with her.The videos, recorded on mobile phones, quickly spread online and set off a debate around conduct inside classrooms.
Student objects, confrontation unfolds
The student at the centre of the episode immediately challenged the claim in front of the class. She asked the professor to take the matter to the principal and questioned when she had ever proposed to him.During the exchange, the professor says, “didn’t you say I love you Mohammed, didn’t you say it.” He also claims there is CCTV footage to back his statement. The student responds by asking him to show the footage.
The professor then leaves the classroom, saying he would speak to her the next day, while asking students to have chocolates. Reports suggest he had brought a full carton of chocolates and arranged for them to be distributed.
Argument spills outside, turns into scuffle
What began as a heated exchange did not end with the class. Soon after the professor stepped out, tensions rose on campus. The situation escalated into a confrontation, with the student allegedly hitting the professor with her slipper or sandals. Other students also joined in, shouting abuses and physically assaulting him.The incident turned the campus into a chaotic scene within minutes.
No complaint filed yet
The episode falls under the jurisdiction of Nelamangala Rural Police Station in Bengaluru Rural district.
