Bengaluru power cut alert: Mahalakshmi Layout, Peenya, Electronic City and more to face day-long outages on 21 and 22 June; Check full list

If you live in Bengaluru, be prepared for day-long power cuts until 22 June. The Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPCL) has taken up periodic maintenance and major infrastructure upgrades at several locations. As a result, BESCOM (Bangalore Electricity Supply Company) has announced power interruptions across the city from 20 to 22 June 2025.

These planned outages are necessary to improve the city’s power system and ensure a more stable supply in the future.

June 20 (Friday) – Areas Affected from 10 AM to 5 PM

• Parts of Mahalakshmi Layout, Rajajinagar, Yeshwanthpura Industrial Area, and Indiranagar.
• Specific places include:
• Mahalakshmi Layout, Manjunath Nagar, JC Nagar, Punjab National Bank area, Modi Hospital Road, Gruhalakshmi Layout, and surrounding colonies
• Unix Colony, Indiranagar, Kirloskar Colony, Karnataka Layout, Kamala Nagar, Bovi Palya, GD Naidu Hall
• BNES College, Bell Apartment, Toyota Showroom, Lumos Apartment, and Sandal Soap Factory area
• Areas near Bannerghatta Road and BTM Layout, like IAS Colony, NS Palya Industrial Area, Electronic City Phase-1 and 2, Tech Mahindra, Hebbagodi, and Hulimangala Station, will also be affected.

From 10 AM to 4 PM:

Power will be cut in KSIT College, Anjanapura, Vishwapriya Layout, Begur Road, Akshayanagar, and nearby areas.

June 21 (Saturday) – Areas Affected from 10 AM to 5 PM

Power cuts will affect Peenya, Rajagopala Nagar, and nearby layouts including:

• HMT Main Road, CMTI, Boralingappa Garden, GKW Layout, Bank Colony, Vignan Public School, RNS Apartment
• ESI Hospital, Akash Theatre Road, Kasthuri Road, Friends Circle, Malayali Guest House Road
• Outer Bengaluru regions like Tharabanahalli, Hesaraghatta, Chikkabanavara, Dasenahalli, and Soladevanahalli will also experience outages.
• The same Bannerghatta Road–Electronic City–BTM zone will continue to face cuts.

From 10 AM to 4 PM:

Power will be disrupted in KSIT College, Amruth Nagar, Devarachikkanahalli, Akshayanagar, and Tejaswini Nagar.

June 22 (Sunday) – Areas Affected from 10 AM to 5 PM

Power cuts are scheduled in Electronic City Phase-1, including:
Doddathoguru, Bommanahalli, NJR Layout, Chikkathoguru, Konappana Agrahara, and Hongasandra

All Three Days – June 20, 21, and 22 (9 AM to 5 PM)

Continuous power cuts are planned in and around Anekal and Attibele, including:

• Anekal, Samandur, Yadavanahalli, Attibele Town, VBHC Apartment, Indlabele, and Hompalagatta
• Balagaranahalli, Gowrenahalli, Chikkahagade, Doddahagade, Harohalli, Haldenahalli, and several villages nearby
