Incidents involving underage children riding two wheelers in traffic have triggered widespread concern, with social media users calling for strict action against those responsible. The cases highlight risks posed by unsafe road behaviour and lack of supervision.

In one instance, a child appearing to be under 10 years of age was seen riding a two wheeler in heavy traffic. The child was reportedly standing on the footboard, struggling to control the vehicle and getting off at stops, prompting strong reactions online over the potential danger.



Bengaluru incident draws attention

In a separate incident in Bengaluru, images showing six young children riding on a single scooter surfaced on social media, raising concerns about safety and rule violations.

The photographs, shared on Saturday morning on X by a user who said he witnessed the scene during his commute, showed six underage children on one scooter without helmets.

The vehicle appeared to be driven by a young boy, while five other children were seated behind him in an overcrowded and unsafe manner.

Details shared online

According to the post, the incident occurred on April 26, 2026, at around 10.45 am on Padarayanapura Main Road near Goripalya, opposite Total Engineer Auto Gas, New Bridge.

The user also shared the scooter registration number KA05JZ9065 along with the images.

Calls for action

The individual who posted the images tagged Bengaluru City Police and Bengaluru Traffic Police, urging authorities to take action against the parents of the children involved.
