Bengaluru man says city gets unfairly blamed for traffic despite congestion in other Indian cities; shares his early-morning airport experience

His post, based on his experience travelling to the airport for an early-morning flight, drew mixed reactions from social media users.

Bengaluru resident shares early-morning airport experience

Nihal Shetty, a Bengaluru resident, said he left home at 6.10 am to catch a flight scheduled to depart at 8.10 am. He reached the airport without difficulty and had enough time to enjoy breakfast before boarding.

Sharing his experience on X, Shetty wrote, "I think peak hour traffic is a problem in every city in India and Bengaluru is just the poster child for everyone who wants to vent."

Describing Bengaluru as the "poster child" for traffic-related complaints, he suggested that the city often becomes a focal point for people frustrated with congestion, even though similar problems affect other urban centres across India.

Social media users question his claim

Shetty's post received mixed responses, with some users pointing out that an early-morning journey might not accurately reflect traffic conditions during busier hours.

One user commented, "6 am is not peak traffic time."

Another user questioned whether the experience would be the same later in the day, saying, "Try catching a flight at 8.10 pm on a weekday."
