Bengaluru HSR Fight: Two girls and an auto driver get into physical fight over fare dispute, watch video

A video showing two women and an auto-rickshaw driver involved in a physical fight in Bengaluru's HSR Layout 3rd Sector on Monday afternoon has gone viral on social media.

Video shows the two women and the auto driver exchanging blows. As the matter escalated, another woman stepped in and tried to stop the fight.

The clip was later shared on Instagram and other social media platforms, where it quickly gained attention. Several social media users called for police action following the incident.

HSR Layout Police Contact Women

After coming across the viral video, HSR Layout police contacted the women and asked them to file a complaint regarding the incident.

However, the women reportedly declined to visit the police station immediately and sought a day or two to decide, according to a senior police officer.

Auto Driver Gives His Version

Police also traced the auto driver involved in the fight. During questioning, he told police that the women had hired his auto and that an argument broke out over the payment.

The driver alleged that the women had drunk alcohol, abused him and refused to pay the fare. He further claimed that they assaulted him first, following which he hit them in retaliation.

Police Await Complaint

The police said further action would depend on the women formally approaching them with a complaint.

“We will take necessary action once the girls file a complaint,” the officer added.
