Bengaluru cafe photo looks like Vincent van Gogh painting, feels Internet

The photo of the cafe in Bengaluru's Koramangala was clicked and shared by a Reddit user initially, but then it got viral after it was posted to Twitter.

A photo of a cafe in Bengaluru is going viral on social media because it has a lot of resemblance to a famous painting by 19th century Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh.

The photo of the cafe in Koramangala, an upscale neighbourhood in the south-eastern part of the city known for its startups, was clicked and shared by a Reddit user initially, but then it got viral after it was posted to Twitter.

The Twitter user pointed out that the photo of the cafe resembled van Gogh's famous 1888 painting ‘Café Terrace at Night’. That oil painting was painted by the Dutch master in Arles, France is is currently displayed at the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, Netherlands.

Many of those who responded were surprised at the uncanny similarities between the two. Though, of course, the painting had a blue starry sky - in fact it was the first painting in which van Gogh used starry backgrounds - the dominant blue-yellow tonality in both made them look a lot alike .

Others pointed out that the original did not have all those overhead cables.

Some tried to identify the Bengaluru cafe . A couple of users came came up with his answer.
