The incident took place on Saturday in Vidyaranyapura and has raised concerns of road safety and parental negligence. The video was shared on X where several people reacted.
"Next time when you leave your kids popping their heads out, think once again!" said a user.
Another user said: "Please stop the stupidity of making your kids poke their heads through the sunroof", while another posted: "Let the sun in, not your child out. This incident is a stark reminder that sunroofs are not meant for standing or playing. Let's not wait for a lesson in pain...put safety first, always."
The police, meanwhile, said they registered a suo motu case under section 281 (rash and negligent driving) of BNS. They added that the boy, aged 6 years, has not sustained serious injuries.
