Bengaluru: Bihar worker arrested after posting AI-generated video of Vidhana Soudha being blown up

A 25-year-old worker from Bihar was arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly creating and posting an AI-generated video depicting a bomb blast at Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the Karnataka government. The person named as Hazrat Ali Shoiab, who is from Bihar’s Araria district, had been working in Bengaluru as a daily-wage pipefitter for the past few months, according to the police.

AI-Generated Bomb Blast Video Surfaces On Instagram

According to officials, the video appeared on Tuesday morning on an Instagram account named jnx_king_h_g. It opens with footage showing the exterior of Vidhana Soudha before transitioning to AI-generated visuals depicting a massive explosion inside the historic government building.


The post reportedly carried the caption, “Vidhanasabha Uda Diya Bam se.”

Police Trace Instagram Account Through Digital Surveillance

The incident came to the police's attention during routine digital surveillance. Following the discovery, Vidhana Soudha police registered a FIR and began investigating the source of the video.

Investigators reportedly traced the Instagram account using Internet Protocol (IP) logs and other digital footprints, which eventually led them to Hazrat Ali Shoiab.

Accused Questioned Over Motive Behind Video

Police said Shoiab is currently in custody and is being questioned to establish the motive behind uploading the video. Investigators are also examining whether anyone else was involved in creating or editing the AI-generated footage.
