Banned Reddit user back after Alia Bhatt confirms pregnancy on Instagram

Alia Bhatt recently announced on Instagram that she and hubby Ranbir Kapoor are expecting a baby. While the news came as a pleasant surprise for the power couple’s fans, it also led to unblocking of a Reddit account. Moderators of a popular Bollywood gossip sub-Reddit, BollyBlindsNGossip had to lift a ban on newbee_fun after the news.

In April 2022, newbee_fun had posted in the sub-Reddit that Alia Bhatt was pregnant. However, terming it as a ‘Quora Rumour’ part of an alleged ‘fan war, the moderators banned the user from their sub-Reddit. Following Alia’s announcement, the moderators had to lift the ban, and many Reddit users have demanded that newbee_fun must be awarded.

Newbee_fun, in her post, had said that her friend, a make-up artist, had informed her that Alia was pregnant. The post garnered condemnation, as many at the time termed it an ‘outrageous gossip’. The moderators were swift in tagging the news as fake and deleting it subsequently.
