A viral video on social media showed a man with a bag on his head. When inquired, he said it contained Sheikh Hasina's saree. The man doubled down on his remarks and claimed that he would give the sarees to his wife, and make her the PM.
"I am going to make my wife the PM," he said.

Protests and incidents of vandalism were reported from the streets of Bangladesh capital Dhaka on Monday, a day when Sheik Hasina tendered her resignation and left the country amidst weeks of student-led protests that escalated into violence. Visuals aired on TV, local media and social media platforms showed people ransacking Sheikh Hasina's official residence and taking away eatables.
Hasina had sought to quell nationwide protests against her government since early July but she fled the country after brutal unrest on Sunday in which nearly 100 people were killed.
