Around six hours after launching "Operation Herof," the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has reportedly claimed responsibility for killing 102 Pakistani soldiers in ongoing attacks targeting an army camp and military checkpoints along major highways in Balochistan. As per reports, the operation involves suicide attackers from the Majeed Brigade of the BLA, including the capture of large sections of the Bela army camp and setting up checkpoints across the province to ambush military convoys.

According to a statement issued by BLA, over 40 soldiers were killed during an attack on the main Army camp in Bela. The statement said that the BLA's fidayeen unit has maintained control over a significant portion of the camp for the last six hours. "Under the Baloch Liberation Army’s fidayeen operation 'Herof,' the fidayeen unit of the BLA’s Majeed Brigade attacked the occupying forces’ Bela camp, killing over 40 military personnel so far and holding control of a significant portion of the camp for the last six hours," Jeeyand Baloch said.

"All the fidayeen are still safe and in contact with us," the statement added, indicating that the BLA fighters continue to "advance against the enemy" at the camp.

Elaborating on the details of the attack, the statement mentioned that the BLA attackers detonated two explosives-laden vehicles at the camp’s main entrance and nearby security posts the previous night, destroying them. "Following this, the Herof fidayeen unit of the Majeed Brigade entered the camp, killing more than 40 military personnel and successfully taking control of a large part of the camp," the spokesperson said in the statement.

Meanwhile, BLA fighters have seized all highways across Balochistan by setting up checkpoints. The Fatah Squad and Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) coordinated these efforts, resulting in further casualties. "So far, 62 personnel have been killed in the blockades and clashes with the military, bringing the total number of enemy military personnel killed to 102," the statement said. The BLA also reported captured over 22 military, police, and Levies personnel during these operations.

"The majority of those killed at checkpoints were traveling in civilian clothes on passenger buses heading to their camps, where they were identified and subsequently killed by BLA fighters," it said.
