Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter launched in India: Check price, battery, specifications, features and other key details

Bajaj Auto has expanded its electric two-wheeler portfolio with the introduction of the Bajaj Chetak C250I in India. Priced at Rs 91,399 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the new model becomes the most affordable offering in the Chetak electric scooter range.

Entry-Level Electric Scooter for Everyday Use

Positioned as the entry point to the Chetak lineup, the C250I is aimed at customers seeking a simpler, lighter, and more accessible electric scooter for daily commuting. Bajaj says the model has been designed to lower the cost of entry into its electric mobility ecosystem while retaining core usability.

Battery, Range and Charging Details

The Bajaj Chetak C250I is equipped with a 2.5kWh battery mounted on the floorboard. On a full charge, the scooter delivers a claimed riding range of 113 km. Charging is handled via a 750W off-board charger, which takes approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes to charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent.

Hub-Mounted Motor Introduced for the First Time

For the first time in the Chetak range, Bajaj has opted for a hub-mounted electric motor. The motor generates 1.8kW of continuous power and 2.2kW of peak output. Due to its modest performance figures, the scooter has a claimed top speed of 55 kmph, making it suitable for urban commuting.
