Ayushmann Khurrana's 'An Action Hero' may be pulled out of theaters due to poor box office collection

Ayushmann Khurrana is known for his unique choice of movies and has successfully demonstrated his ability with his strong performance in eccentric films. But this time, people are not impressed with his new action-comedy thriller, An Action Hero. As per reportes, the film could be soon eliminated from the theatres following its miserable performance.

What is the box office collection of An Action Hero so far?
The movie was released on December 2 and couldn’t pull the audience to the cinema halls. On the 5th day of the release on December 6, the film hardly minted any money, with the collection in the vicinity of Rs 30-40 lakh. At this rate, it seems it could scarcely collect less than Rs 20 crore in its lifetime and is expected to be wiped out of the theatres soon.

An Action Hero box office collection in the first three days of release has been Rs 1.31 crore, Rs 2.16 crore, and Rs 2.52 crore, respectively, with a total weekend collection of Rs 6 crore. One reason for the failure is the tough competition from Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya and Ajay Devgan’s Drishyam 2.


The movie also stars Jaideep Ahlawat. The plot follows the journey of superstar Maanav played by Ayushmann Khurrana, who accidentally kills a politically connected fan, and then lives in hiding as the world is out to get him.
