Ayushmann Khurrana to star in Sourav Ganguly’s biopic: Check details here

The long-awaited biopic on Indian cricket legend Sourav Ganguly, directed by Luv Ranjan and starring Ankur Garg, is gathering steam. It has been verified in an exclusive update that Ayushmann Khurrana is officially on board to spearhead the project. This sports biopic, which is being directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, is one of the most eagerly awaited upcoming Hindi movies.

Like Ganguly, Ayushmann is a left-handed batsman, thus his biopic is a natural fit, and Motwane has already shown his skill in movies like Jubilee, Lootera, Udaan, and Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. The type of cinematic masterpiece that the stakeholders are determined to produce together have them revved up and enthusiastic. The movie will shortly have an official announcement.

Since the beginning of the film's discussions last year, Ayushmann Khurrana has been the producer's first option. He formally signed up for the project after the last paperwork was finished. Before the filming starts, Ayushmann is expected to start his preparations for the part, which would include months of intense cricket training.


It was also rumored that captain MS Dhoni, who won the 2007 T20 World Cup, would make a brief appearance in the film.

The Sourav Ganguly biography was first slated to be directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, who originally turned it down to concentrate on other obligations. The producers have decided to rehire Motwane to direct the movie after previously contemplating Aishwarya Rajinikanth, a Tamil filmmaker. Though the circumstances behind his homecoming remain unclear, Motwane has jumped headfirst into the project and is thrilled to be bringing Ganguly's life story to life in a unique and imaginative way for the cinema.
