ZEE5's Tamil original series 'Ayali' is making ripples in Tamil cinema on International Education Day. The Tamil cinema industry, media, and audience are all praising this online series.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd's video streaming platform ZEE5 launched the new Tamil original series Ayali on January 26. The eight-episode series, produced by S. Kushmavathi's Estrella Stories and directed by Muthukumar, stars Abi Nakshatra, Anumol, Aruvi Madhan, Lingaa, and Singampuli in significant parts.

The story centres around the life of a young woman named Tamil Selvi and her battle against the standards and ideas of the society around her. On the occasion of National Girl Child Day and International Education Day, the ZEE5 platform hosted screenings of the series for people across Tamil Nadu.


A young lady strives against all barriers to become a doctor, defying traditional beliefs and practices. Cameos are done by Lakshmi Priya, Smruti Venkat, and Bhagvathi Perumal. Aayali has a fantastic cast, a social message, and an engaging narrative.

Video streaming companies would likely allocate 50 per cent-60 per cent of their resources to southern language content, with these shows gaining popularity and accounting for 30% of OTT traffic.

RRR, Beast, and Jana Gana Mana were all significant blockbusters on Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video's Tamil original Suzhal drew a lot of attention.

In fact, RRR was the most popular Indian film on Netflix worldwide.
