At Eden Gardens, Sourav Ganguly’s Jhoothi takes on Ranbir Kapoor’s Makkaar

Ranbir Kapoor is touring India to promote his next film, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’. He recently visited Kolkata, where he met legendary cricketer Sourav Ganguly at the famous Eden Gardens. Surprisingly, the actor-cricketer team had a great time on the field.

Notably, Sourav Ganguly challenged Ranbir Kapoor with the line “Iss Khelna Hai Na, Khelte Hai!” from TJMM. They competed in a cricket match.

Ranbir is seen wearing an all-black ensemble with the words ‘Ranbir’s Makkaar’ written on it. Ganguly, on the other hand, is seen wearing a white T-shirt with the words ‘Dada’s Jhoothi’ written on it. Sourav and Ranbir led their respective teams in a under-20 girl’s vs. boy’s match.




Ranbir’s Makkaar XI won the toss and chose to bat against Dada's Jhoothi XI. Ranbir secured a magnificent victory in the match. ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ has made a name for itself since the trailer was released. Furthermore, the city of Joy, Kolkata, has always been known to love Ranbir’s films and has flocked to theatres to see the actor’s films. The city has always played a critical role in significantly increasing overall box office collections of his movies.

The movie is produced by Ankur Garg and Luv Ranjan of Luv Films. It is directed by Luv Ranjan, and presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series. On March 8, 2023, the movie is scheduled for release in theatres around the world.
