According to police, a 28-year-old Assamese man was killed in Bengaluru for questioning an auto driver about an excessive fare, and the accused has been arrested.

Ahmad has been identified as the victim, and on Sunday night's incident in the vicinity of the Yeshwanthpur Soap Factory within the boundaries of the Subramanyanagar police station, his brother Ayub was also seriously hurt.

The victims, according to the police, used an automobile to travel from their place of employment to their home in the Yeshwanthpur neighbourhood. Ashwath, the accused taxi driver, had asked for two times the fare.

He was questioned about it by the brothers, who demanded to know why they needed to pay more. When the argument got physical, the car driver used a weapon to harm the brothers. The police who arrived on the scene quickly gathered information about the suspect and took him into custody.

Further investigation has been created by the police. Concerns about public safety were raised last month after a video of a car hitting a techie trying to reserve a Rapido bike service after being charged an outrageous fare went viral.
