The iconic singer was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai on Saturday evening after her health deteriorated. While earlier reports suggested cardiac arrest and pulmonary complications, doctors later confirmed that her condition worsened due to multiple health issues.Dr Pratit Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital stated that Asha Bhosle passed away due to multi-organ failure.
Family Had Earlier Requested Privacy During Treatment
Prior to her passing, Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle had shared a health update, stating that the singer had been hospitalised due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection.“My grandmother, Asha Bhosle due to extreme exhaustion and suffering a chest infection has been admitted to hospital and we request you to value our privacy. Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything will be well and we shall update you positively.”
The family had requested privacy while doctors monitored her condition.
